I have always been someone who loved a handbag. As a tween, I was all about the colorful Coach and Dooney & Burkes. They were my prized possessions. And now I’m clearly on a kick with a few brands and styles that I can’t get enough of.
From totes to carry my laptop in so I can work from a coffee shop, or a small crossbody to just hold the essentials, these are some of my favorite bags in my collection. I’ve grown to be a big fan of Sezane bags, and recently have tried a few new brands like APC and Dragon Diffusion. I’ll always love a Madewell bag and even J.Crew.
But things you may never see from me are the high end luxury designer brands. I always wonder if I had a huge disposable income would I invest in the Chanel and YSL of it all. I honestly don’t think I would. I’m not one for logos. Maybe, just maybe if I won the lottery I would invest in ones that are suede and leather with no major logos. But I don’t think you’ll ever see me in a quilted leather bag or one that has G’s all over it.
With that being said, here are the bags I’m currently loving. No lottery wins, just reasonably priced bags. If you’re looking for a new handbag to add to your collection, I hope one of these may fit the bill for you.
My Most Loved Purses
Madewell Woven Tote
I have upgraded my Madewell Transport tote for the woven version. I love the texture of this bag and it can work all year round. It has an interior pocket but no other way to close it up. This tote holds my laptop easily and is spacious.
Sezane Claude Bag
Probably one of my most loved bags. This is the smallest everyday bag I use but I love it. I have it in a few colors and they’ve all held up really well. Sezane bags are one of my favorites and this is one of many on today’s list.
Coach Pillow Tabby Bag
For dinners and night outs, this is a favorite bag to reach for. I don’t use it for my everyday bag as I prefer a crossbody or tote for my day-to-day. But my Coach Pillow Tabby gets a lot of use. I prefer just the shoulder bag strap, but it does come with a crossbody strap as well to have some options. It is on the smaller side in terms of what fits inside which is why I don’t bother to use the crossbody strap to have it as my everyday bag.
I love the neutral color of this bag allowing it to go with everything. The Pillow Tabby is such a fun piece to have in your closet. This is also a reminder to check out Coach bags, I’m swooning over a few!
Dragon Diffusion Nantucket Bag
One of the newest bags in my collection and I am so in love with it. I love all of their bags and had admired them online for months if not years at this point. I saw one in person in a boutique in The Hamptons and instantly knew I had to buy one. So I ended up going with this soft blue since I get so much use out of my blue Sezane Claude bag. I knew a tote in a similar color would also get a lot of use.
APC Genève Flap Bag
I treated myself to this at the APC outlet in London. I had been on the hunt for a red bag that wasn’t bright red, but also not burgundy. It’s the perfect color and size. I clearly have a thing for rounded bags. I love that the strap can be worn long or doubled up for a shoulder bag.
Sezane Mara Bag
This tote is such a stunner. It comes in a few colors and I wish I could have one of each. Due to the circular bottom of the bag, this is not ideal for a laptop, but you can make it work. It looks like a really high end bag but doesn’t totally break the bank.
Sezane Mini Farrow Bag
I have a few Sezane Farrow bags, but the mini is hands down my favorite. I would choose the mini over the classic size any day. It comes in lots of great colors but this pistachio was a fun color to add to my closet. It holds just enough stuff making it a good everyday handbag.
Bembien Margot Tote
I had to have this bag a few years ago and I still love it today. It’s held up really well too considering it’s a rattan bag. Bembien makes really beautiful woven leather bags and rattan bags. They are all so beautiful. It feels like a really special piece without being over the top.
Sezane Milo Classic Bag
If you need a little more space, this is the perfect size. I am able to fit all my essentials with ease. I also LOVE that this bag can be worn on the shoulder, or crossbody. The snaps make it really easy to switch between the two. This bag has been through the wringer and still looks amazing. I love the navy color and it goes with so much.
